Cloud & Platform Engineering

This is the layer product teams lean on: APIs, jobs, data and cloud. We will also take an inherited codebase, make it stop breaking, and then extend it. Infrastructure matches the stage you are in.

The machines the product actually runs on

What we cover

Backends, workers, data pipelines and the AWS around them. We add CI/CD and observability so releases stay boring as you scale.

This is the layer product teams lean on. APIs, jobs, data, cloud. We also take a codebase that already exists, make it stop breaking, and then move it forward.

Most of our cloud work is AWS — not because a slide said so, because that is where a lot of production already lives. We also run Google Cloud and Azure. Containers with Docker; Kubernetes and Helm when you actually need orchestration. Terraform for the pieces that should not be clicked together in a console.

CI is GitHub Actions or GitLab. Observability is Prometheus and Grafana, or Datadog and Sentry if that is already in the account. Message backbones are Kafka or RabbitMQ. We size this to the stage you are in. A two-person product does not need a service mesh.

Questions we hear a lot

Do you work on AWS and existing backends?
Yes. New services and older platforms. CI/CD and monitoring go in so you can see what is happening.
Can you take over an inherited codebase?
Yes. We audit, stabilize and then extend. The point is that your team can keep shipping.
Which clouds and tools?
AWS most often — compute, storage, databases, Lambda, networking. Google Cloud and Azure when that is the house standard. Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, GitHub Actions or GitLab, Nginx, Cloudflare, Linux. Postgres, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Sentry. We will not sell you a platform you cannot operate.
